Schematic design proposals, complete with 3-D computer models and detailed cost-benefit analyses by GLC Development Resources, provide vision and leadership to jumpstart renewal downtown and at other key sites in this town of 30,000 on Boston’s Route 128 beltway. Based on goals and objectives developed through a range of community participation events and informed by smart growth planning principles, these prototypes for architectural design and land use planning attract private development and channel it in support of community values.
