Smart Growth Housing Prototypes for Rhode Island Communities

Addressing a state-wide need for new models for affordable housing, Abacus worked with City|State, the Design Lab at RISD, to develop a series of housing prototypes for Rhode Island communities. These demonstration projects are based on local development patterns to enhance community character. The models have been widely distributed and presented at a series of public forums intended to educate town officials and developers on successful approaches to design in New England communities.
