Wakefield Housing Master Plan
Wakefield, Massachusetts

Working closely with residents, town officials and other stakeholders, Abacus developed architecture and planning proposals for meeting housing and affordability needs while reinforcing the character of Wakefield. The Master Plan started with an analysis of existing neighborhoods. Potential development sites were mapped and categorized, and prototype projects at four different density levels were designed. These models were written into new sections of the zoning ordinance, creating a blueprint for future housing development beneficial to the town.
