Allencrest Community Center

A new community center provides after-school study and activity areas and a
place for neighborhood gatherings. The center is being built by students at the
local vocational school, bringing the entire City in on the construction process.

Glazing for passive solar heating, strategically located windows with sun
screens for summer cooling, and a fuel cell will conserve energy and provide
lessons in “green” building technology.
