Michaela joined Abacus in October of 2022 after working for three years in residential architectural design. She graduated from Syracuse University with a dual Bachelors degree in Architecture and Geography, with a focus in urban geographies. Having grown up in Cambridge, MA, the local architecture sparked Michaela’s interest in design, and she returned to the area after graduating. Through these experiences Michaela brings to Abacus her knowledge of architectural design grounded in urban design, site specific design inspired by local vernacular, and integration of passive or active sustainable design principles. Outside of work, Michaela enjoys spending time with her yellow lab, Evie, visiting local breweries, cooking vegetarian feasts, and expanding her eclectic earring collection.
