[ THE CHALLENGE ]  Design a senior community adjacent to a college so that the two entities can contribute to eachothers’ missions.

[ THE RESPONSE ]  College Landings is a mixed-use, living and learning senior community on land owned by Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida. The housing is organized around greens and courtyards, separated by a canal from the new retail center. A new performing arts building and lagoon anchor the site and link the senior community to the academic campus.
