[ THE CHALLENGE ]  Assist a coalition of three congregations in finding a site for their new synagogue, and bring the building to life on a limited budget.

[ THE RESPONSE ]  Three years of site pursuit came to fruition with the donation of a wooded parcel nestled behind neighborhood houses. The building is organized around a central “street” that connects the sanctuary to other program elements. Interior spaces are filled with light and open to the surrounding landscape. Carefully considered proportion and details make this an inspiring home for a spiritual community.
